Stephen has more than 30 years experience in leadership positions in a wide range of consumer businesses in Europe and the US. He started his career with Imperial Foods before moving to Allied Domecq where he was Chairman of Lyons Tetley, Dunkin Donuts and Allied's pub group and Chief Executive of both the Retailing and Food Divisions. He spent 2 years with Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst as Chief Executive of Hillsdown Holdings followed by 8 years as Operational Managing Director at Terra Firma. During this time Stephen led strategic and operational change in businesses including Meridien Hotels, Odeon Cinemas, AWAS Aircraft Leasing and international music company, EMI, where an operational transformation of the business resulted in a doubling of profits in just three years.

Stephen is currently Chairman of Immediate Media Company Ltd. and a Non-Executive Director of Dairy Crest Group plc.
